Refund Policy

Handmade Creations By Kate manages all refunds, repairs and returns in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act. 

We will gladly offer a replacement, or refund on a faulty item after it has been inspected and deemed faulty upon return within 14 days of purchase. The refund will be issued via the same method payment was received. If the item is found not to be faulty and wear and tear or misused is deemed the product will not be refunded or replaced and the recipient will have the option to pay shipping and have it returned to them or we will disregard the item. 

We will not offer a refund for the following: 

  • changed their mind and no longer want the product
  • ordered the wrong product
  • found the product cheaper elsewhere
  • found a better product elsewhere
  • were aware of the relevant fault before buying the product - for example, if the fault was written on the product's tag, or for online purchases, indicated in any photos or descriptions of the item online (Clearance or Factory Second due to ........)
  • damaged the product by misusing it - for example, if they dropped a mobile phone in the water
  • used the product for a long time and the problem is as a result of usual wear and tear.
  • incorrect washing of a product - for example put in dishwasher instead of handwash or wash garment on a hot cycle instead of a cold wash cycle
  • Handmade item with minor imperfections due to the process of making the item by hand (as it is handmade some imperfections can be expected as no item is guaranteed to be exactly the same or 100% perfect)
